Ayurveda literally means ’science of life’. It is an ancient medical system dating back over 5,000 years ago in India that focus on prevention of disease and arrest of the disease in its root cause.
Ayurveda uses a holistic approach of the individual taking into account emotional, physical and mental aspects to understand what is behind the symptoms and treat the cause of it.
Using a range of dietary and lifestyle changes, as well as the recommendation of appropriate herbs, oils & tonics the client is able to alleviate and in most cases to be free of conditions such as: IBS, Skin Disorders (Eczema/Psoriasis), Digestive and Eating Disorders, Obesity, Anxiety, Insomnia, Urinary Tract Disorders, Thyroid Issues, Women Disorders, Infertility, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Auto-Imune Conditions, Depression, Addictions plus many more.
Hello, I’m Vivian an Ayurvedic Practitioner Certified by the renowed Ayurveda Institute UK.
I am also a member of the Complimentary Medical Association.
My mission here is to help you to reclaim your physical and emotional health in a simple and natural way using Ayurvedic principles of diet and lifestyle.
Ayurveda and other types of natural healing have always been present in my life and after healing my body and mind of ailments such as chronic hypertension, anxiety and digestive issues I became passionate to share my knowledge of Ayurveda to inspire others to heal naturally.
As part of my practice and philosophy, I strive to both educate and care for my clients, empowering them to live better and healthier lives.
My approach is a combination of both eastern and western methods with a simple yet effective approach designed to fit in with your busy life.
EATING ACCORDING TO YOUR DOSHA
The food we eat will either feed our bodies or our imbalances.
An Ayurvedic diet is fundamentally different from any other diet because in Ayurveda we eat according to our Dosha (body type).
A “healthy” modern diet is not always what our body needs.
Age, digestive strength, mental and physical health, the 4 seasons and our body constitution must be taken into account when choosing our diet.
During an Ayurvedic consultation I will identify the Dosha and any imbalances to personalise a diet plan focusing on the right foods for your constitution.
I will show you: what, how and when to eat to promote a healthy mind and body.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE MEDICAL SCIENCE OF AYURVEDA?
WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN AYURVEDIC CONSULTATION?
During our first consultation (90 minutes) I will ask you detailed questions about your physical, mental and emotional state, as well as your dietary habits. We will discuss your health challenges, your goals and how Ayurveda can help you.
Once an initial diagnosis is concluded I will offer you a practical programme of diet and lifestyle tools especially tailored for you that are effective and yet simple in treating the root of the health issues.
I will also prescribe you some herbs, oils & tonics to aid / speed your healing process. All herbs prescribed are carefully sourced to ensure its purity, potency and quality.
FOLLOW UP CONSULTATIONS
To achieve best results, I advise my clients to work with me for at least 3 months - this means 1 initial consultation and 2 follow ups (45 minutes each).
Each follow up is scheduled 4 weeks from the date of the previous consultation and serve to review the progress and make necessary adjustments to the herbs and diet.
